Preliminary Award

North Riding FA has been successful in obtaining the preliminary level of the Equality Standard for Sport from The FA.

In achieving this level, North Riding FA was able to meet outcomes in four categories, as below:

- The organisation is aware of its current external profile and position in terms of equality
- The organisation has a robust equality action plan to advance equality and increase participation. Staff (paid and unpaid) understand how this plan relates to their role
- All board members and staff (paid and unpaid) within your organisation understand the general principles of equality and how it relates to their sport
- Our recruitment practices and policies seek to advance equality

Foundation Award

North Riding FA is delighted to announce that the association has been successful in gaining the foundation level of the Equality Standard for Sport from The FA. 
The National Standard for Equality is a nationally-recognized framework that assists County Football Associations with embedding equality at the highest level of their organisation, and communicating and sharing that commitment with its staff and partners. 

It also provides a framework to review how a County FA is organised around equality in relation to its service delivery, workforce, policies, procedures, and legal compliance against the backdrop of The FA's National Game Strategy.
