Become A Youth Fixture Matchday Assistant
North Riding FA is inviting volunteers from across North Yorkshire and Teesside to become Matchday Assistants for their local youth football clubs.
All volunteers must be 18 or over and not a manager/coach of a team that’s involved in the fixture.
The purpose of a Matchday Assistant is to provide a warm welcome to the club for everyone and promote a positive football environment on matchdays. Matchday Assistants should encourage team officials and spectators to behave in a friendly and supportive manner, so that children have an enjoyable experience.
Acting as a point of contact during the fixture, the Matchday Assistant will aim to ensure that all children have fun, develop, and continue to love the game.
Matchday Assistants will be required to report any unacceptable or inappropriate language, or behaviour to the Club Secretary or Club Welfare Officer.
