In the latest edition of Touchline Talk, former Middlesbrough Football Club Academy Director, Dave Parnaby, joined us to talk about his journey in coaching and player development.

As insightful as you’d expect from a man who has helped progress the development of Middlesbrough stars including Stewart Downing, Ben Gibson and Lee Cattermole, Dave takes listeners through his journey. Starting as a player at non-league level, Dave’s coaching pathway started through teaching PE, before a career-changing meeting with Boro Chairman, Steve Gibson.

In Touchline Talk, Dave reveals how teaching PE shaped his approach to coaching, highlights the importance of ‘glow’ moments when working with players, and the challenges he faced when he first arrived at Middlesbrough…
