North Riding FA has release its new Disability Engagement Toolkit, produced to support players, clubs and facility providers to understand their audience and help create new opportunities within North Riding.

CP SPORT
Rental – CP Sport have teamed up with Quest to create a rental service for RaceRunners and GameFrames (Frame Football) which can be hired for a minimum of 3 months, and as part of the rental, renters will get access to an online coaching session once a month during the 3 month hire. The service provides access to specialist equipment, which can support individuals to take part in activity at home, in the park or with a club.

Coach Membership – Free coach membership, which include access to Believe Perform, on an online Sport Psychology Platform with a host of course, training plans, infographics and articles to support coach development. The platform include various content around supporting participants mental health as well:

National Autistic Society
Autism: Sport and Physical Activity (Online) - This module provides an introduction to the autism spectrum, focusing on the delivery of sport and physical activity. Recognising and understanding the key areas of difficulty experienced by both the participants and session leaders is vital to providing effective support. Fee - £30
Autism and Communication (Online) - This module explores how to recognise communication differences for autistic people and what factors impact upon successful communication. Fee £30.
The FA
Coaching Disabled Footballers Award. This course is designed to provide you with ideas and practices for the inclusion of disabled players in football sessions, whether in mainstream or impairment specific sessions.
How to coach football for colour blind players
This article from The FA provides links to the colour blind awareness website which provides some simple principles to keep in mind on match and training days, which will have a positive impact on the experience of all those with CVD.
