This group is selected via applications submitted from officials in May and will see a maximum of 30 applicants.

The group will be led by our North Riding match officials who currently operate at Level 3 & 4 (Steps 3-6) of the football pyramid, who will deliver 4 technical meetings throughout the season on key areas of development informed by match day coaching reports.

Referees who are part of this group will also get the opportunity to officiate at Middlesbrough and York City training grounds throughout the season, whereby a coach will be present each week to help them improve.
